Michael Zimmerman is a 2015 Graduate from Naples, FL where he has been a starting pitcher on the Gulf Coast High School baseball team since his freshman year. Michael, a left-handed pitcher, has plus command while displaying a mid 80’s fastball and a sharp breaking ball. Michael verbally committed to the University of Florida last year and plays his summer ball for FTB out of Kissimmee.
Michael’s 2012-13 high school season stats include: 61 SO, with 199 batters faced, 52 IP, 13 GP and an ERA of 1.48. His record last season was 8-1 and 1 save with a .889 winning percentage. He was named 6A District 14 Player of the Week in April 2013 and to the 2013 All-Collier County Athletic Conference Baseball Team. Michael is a member of the 2013 USSSA HS Varsity First Team All-American and 2014 USSSA HS Varsity National Team that will compete in Prague, Czech Republic during Prague Baseball Week.
