Gabriel Garcia is 6’3” & 190 pound Junior who attends Montverde Academy located in Florida. He plays third base, short stop, and catcher. Gabriel shows both an above average approach at the plate while displaying plus power. Defensively Gabriel displays good footwork and soft hands with the arm strength to stick as an infielder or as a catcher.
At the age of 11 Gabriel was selected to join the National Puerto Rico Team to represent his country in the “Mundialito de Baseball Criollitos de América” at Caracas, Venezuela. In the summer of 2012 he participated in the USSSA World Series where he had an outstanding performance with the Reivers Elite – Runner up Team. That year Gabriel won Team MVP, team batting title, and was the team RBI leader.
Gabriel has shown great interest in UCF, FAU, and Duke University and will be studying Engineering or Sport Management.
