Waldo Ronald Odens Jr., a senior at Grace Baptist Academy located in Chattanooga, TN, has committed to attend Covenant College located in Lookout Mountain, Georgia. By accepting Covenant College’s enrollment offer, Waldo has expressed his intent to play baseball for head coach Doug Simons beginning in the fall of 2014.
Waldo has been the starting first baseman for Grace Baptist Academy since his sophomore year. He has played for the Chattanooga Yankees (Travel Team) since he was 11 years old. He was recently selected for the 2013 USSSA ALL American Games (Aug. 8-11, 2013, Houston Astros Training Facilities, Kissimmee, FL) and from there was selected as a USSSA 2nd Team All American.
