The USSSA All- American games are garnering importance and attention nationwide. Small kids, from small towns are getting national attention and trying to make their own dreams come true. The USSSA is dedicating most of its time to making sure that these young men develop their skills as players and as young men. These players are brought from all over the country to play with each other and against one another as a tribute to their accomplishments on the field throughout their young careers. The Highland County Press in Hillsboro, Ohio is very proud of their native, Bryce Bean, getting selected to play in the USSSA All-American Games. Heres a look at the article:
” Bryce Bean, who plays summer baseball with the Hillsboro Legion Post 129 team, has recently been selected to the prestigious USSSA All-American Games, where only the top 150 prospects in his age group were invited.
Bean was nominated by his Hillsboro Legion coaches to attend the try-outs. The first tryout was at Shawnee State University and second tryout was at Marietta College. Bean will be traveling to Kissimmee, Florida in August to compete in the Houston Astros Spring Training Stadium.
This event allows Bean the opportunity to compete against the country’s elite players while being evaluated by college coaches, MLB scouts and former MLB coaches.
The USSSA All-American Games serves as the selection process for the USSSA All-Americans and the USSSA National Team who will compete internationally next summer.
Bean will be a senior at East Clinton High School and also plays on East Clinton High School baseball team. He is the son of Noel and Lori Bean, of Sabina. ”
